Our History

The Brains Swimming School was founded in 1998 as part of a personal dream of Don Manuel Sánchez Sánchez, founder of Brains Schools. His educational vision has always been rooted in two fundamental pillars: academic excellence and sports training. With swimming as one of the core elements of students’ physical and emotional development, this project was born and continues to grow and evolve today.
From the very beginning, Brains Swimming School has stood out as much more than a traditional swim school. In our facilities — a semi-Olympic pool measuring 25 x 12.5 meters — we not only teach swimming but also explore all the possibilities that the aquatic environment offers as both an educational tool and a source of enjoyment.
Over the years, we have developed a comprehensive program through which our students can practice and explore disciplines such as:
Developmental swimming, from early childhood to adulthood
Water polo (introductory and competitive levels)
Artistic swimming
Water games and recreational activities
Intensive courses and summer camps
Thanks to this holistic approach, we promote not only physical development, but also confidence, camaraderie, and a true passion for sport.
We have a long history of sporting success: champions of Madrid, national medalists, and even world champions have emerged from our ranks. But what makes us most proud is the family atmosphere that surrounds us — a team of dedicated coaches, motivated students, and a community that grows together around the water.
Today, more than ever, Brains Swimming School is a place where sport is lived with joy, effort, and strong values. And the best part: after 25 years, we’re still going strong…
Pool Activities

Brains Swimming
At Brains, swimming is much more than just learning how to swim. It is an educational tool through which we develop physical, cognitive, and emotional skills from the earliest stages. Our program is designed to support each student’s progress, from beginner to advanced levels, always in a safe, fun, and family-like environment. The pool is our medium, but values are our true goal.

Brains Artistic Swimming
Artistic swimming at Brains combines technique, music, body expression, and teamwork. It is an activity that promotes coordination, creativity, and effort in the water from an early age. Our students don’t just learn routines—they learn to trust themselves, to push their limits, and to enjoy the art of synchronized movement.

Brains Water Polo
In our Water Polo School, students are introduced to this exciting sport by combining technique, gameplay, and teamwork—all within a motivating environment tailored to their level.
Through water-based dynamics, games, and specific exercises, participants improve their coordination, endurance, and aquatic skills while learning the fundamentals of water polo: passing, shooting, positioning, and defense.
We foster an atmosphere where each student progresses at their own pace, enjoys the activity, and feels like part of a team. It’s a complete sporting experience that strengthens confidence, commitment, and a passion for sport.
